Telling Her Story Through Stitches
Netty Vanderpol is a Holocaust survivor from Amsterdam. In 1984, she felt compelled to tell her story and chose to do so through needlepoint – every stitch a journey through memories, every stitch a choice to pursue a path of healing.
Netty’s stunning collection has been exhibited at museums in the US and Europe. Most recently, the exhibit was displayed in the North Hill Art Gallery, bringing students from local colleges to learn history in a new and powerful way.
North Hill honors Netty’s passion for art and diversity, and celebrates her courage.
