North Hill's role as an innovator in healthcare for seniors began with the founding of the community.

We were the very first retirement community in Massachusetts to offer Lifecare. We were the first to sign a long term lease with a university, because we knew Intellectual Wellness is a critical part of whole-person wellness. And our leadership began to focus intensely on what makes people live healthier, better and longer lives.

This research planted the roots of North Hill's PurposeFULL Living philosophy, which over the years has influenced every aspect of our community's development - from the design of our shared spaces (and now, the small-house Health Care Center) to the classes and lectures offered on campus to ongoing outreach and involvement with our larger community.
